What is eSPARK?
The eSPARK: International Summer School on Experimental Electrochemistry is a five-day training program with morning and afternoon laboratory classes covering a wide range of fundamental electrochemical laboratory practices. After the course, you will be able to prepare your own electrochemical setups and perform basic electroanalytical experiments.
eSPARK is offered for MSc and PhD students with beginner experience in practical electrochemistry and intend to use experimental electrochemistry in their research. It is also available to those who have some experience in a narrow field and would like to expand it towards other systems (microfluidics, non-aqueous etc.).

We offer scholarships (ca. 5000 PLN) for selected candidates who are currently enrolled in an institution outside of Poland to cover expenses of food, accommodation and travel. The decision about a possible application rejection is final and cannot be appealed.
The classes will take place in the laboratories of the Institute of Physical Chemistry-Polish Academy of Sciences, in Warsaw (Poland). Three editions of eSPARK summer school are planned:
I edition: 5th - 11th June 2022 - Done
II edition: 18th - 24th September 2022 - Done
III edition: 18th - 24th June 2023 - RECRUITMENT CLOSED
The evaluation of candidates will be based on the answers given by the candidate in the application form. After the course, you will receive a certificate of completion and the possibility to gain 2 ECTS points.

The summer school will be accompanied by an e-learning course on the Navoica platform (https://navoica.pl/), where you will find scripts and additional material regarding the experiments. In the future, the course will become an online version of our summer school, not only accompanying the experiments but allowing students to perform them by themselves using the attached video material. Participation in the e-course is free and we highly encourage you to take part in it even if you are not selected for the summer school. During the week in Warsaw, you will also have a chance to visit the city, taste Polish cuisine and enjoy integration activities.
